New Balance In Store Testimonial

Good Morning.

Last evening my husband and I went to your store to exchange a pair of sneakers that I purchased two weeks ago. The sneakers were very uncomfortable and giving me leg and foot pain. I had tried for two weeks to force myself to "get used" to the new sneakers because I was hesitant about returning them. I walk about two miles every day for health reasons and need good, supportive sneakers.

Upon entering, we were professionally and cordially greeted by Nick. We explained why we were there; he immediately assessed my problem and agreed that the sneakers were "wrong" for me (supination). We discussed what I was looking for and which NB sneaker I had previously worn.

Well, he spent a lot of time with me and brought out pair after pair (always with a smile on his face) until I was satisfied. He was very patient as I changed my mind after each new selection. I finally exchanged the "wrong" ones for a totally different pair than what I had in mind when I arrived and Nick made sure were fitted perfectly. He dug deep in the back for a pair of water-proof running sneakers (which I wore this morning and must say my feet were dry and toasty when I arrived at work). He was very nice and personable thru the whole thing and never once did I feel rushed or pressured into making a decision (and it was around 7:15 when we arrived). And he even smiled when I actually decided on the first pair of sneakers that he recommended after trying on about a dozen others!

I have lower back problems and my doctor had sent me to your store to be sure I was wearing the right sneakers that are properly fitted. I also appreciate that you offer a discount to my doctor's patients (Dr. David Kuchar). In today's economy, this is certainly helpful.

I was really impressed with the fact that even though I was doing an exchange, and subsequently made an additional purchase, I was given excellent treatment and I had Nick's full attention until I was satisfied.

Thanks again and have a great weekend. I hope your store does well in spite of the economy. It reminds me of the shoe stores of the past, where service and personalized attention were priority. Never again will we purchase sneakers in anything but New Balance stores!
